There was great excitement as the pump testing for the well commenced on July 17. Saruni and Matthew’s mother led the children in dancing and singing much like Miriam after the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea (Exodus 15:20).
Of course, the children had a ball playing in the water from their new well.
But most importantly, this provided immediate support for the community as they came and filled their water barrels.
